Tasting Set - Italian Espresso

3 x 1000g whole beans

Indulge yourself with these three exceptional espresso blends. Thanks to their high quality, these three blends have been certified as Italian Espresso by the INEI (Istituto Nazionale Espresso Italiano). The institute has been protecting and promoting authentic espresso since 1998.

Essse Miscela Masini Espresso 1000g

Espresso coffee, whole beans

Mixture ratio: 90% Arabica beans / 10% Robusta beans

A wonderful aroma with fine acidity - Masini - The king mixture from the house Essse Caffè.

The coffee roasting company Essse Caffè was founded in 1979 in Bologna by the Segafredo family. Today the company is still owned by the Segafredo family. The family has remained faithful to the tradition of roasting coffee using traditional roasting methods - the beans are roasted separately, gently and slowly in the rotating drum and then cooled in the air.

The beans in this blend are dark and evenly roasted. They exude a chocolaty and intense aroma. The Masini also impresses in taste with chocolaty notes as well as with a persistent spiciness in the finish and a full body. Thanks to the robusta beans, a rich crema is formed, with a hazelnut brown colour.

You can find this espresso in many small cafés and espresso bars in the Emillia-Romagna region - especially in the metropolis of Bologna. Furthermore, Essse Caffè can also be found everywhere else in Italy. Essse Caffè is one of the biggest coffee roasters that are represented in the Italian gastronomy.

Thanks to its outstanding quality, Essse Caffe Miscela Masini has been certified as Espresso Italiano by the INEI (Instituto Nazionale Espresso Italiano). The institute has been protecting and promoting the real espresso since 1998.

Filicori Zecchini Espresso Kavè

1000g whole espresso beans

Mixing ratio: 90% Arabica beans / Robust beans 10%

The Filicori Zecchini Kavè is one of the richest blends of the house. The strongly roasted beans give the Kavè a full-bodied taste with the finest notes of milk chocolate and roasted hazelnut. The slightly sweet roast is not particularly tart but has a long-lasting aftertaste reminiscent of milk cream.

In order to be able to supply a product with the same quality and taste all year round, Filicori Zecchini has been sourcing its special beans from the same coffee farmers for several decades. Moreover, each variety in the blend receives its own specific care and roasting duration.
With the right craftsmanship, a true masterpiece is created. This espresso deserves the demanding certificate of the "Italian Espresso National Institute".

In 2014, Espresso Kavè was awarded the gold medal at the international coffee tasting by the Institute of coffee tasting.

Di Giampaolo Caffè Espresso Shamal - Espresso Italiano

1000g espresso coffee, whole beans

90% Arabica  - 10% Robusta

Caffè Di Giampaolo has attributed a special wind to each espresso blend. Shamal is a northwestern summer wind in the Arab region that blows strongly, especially in the morning and at midday, and so it is with this espresso coffee. Ideal as an early morning espresso. The noble Shamal Cuvee consists of 6 arabica varieties. The beans for this special blend come from the best coffee growing areas. These are located in the highland forests of Brazil, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and India.

The Shamal is of course roasted in a gentle drum roasting process. Each variety is roasted individually and according to its own roasting profile. The Espresso Shamal is roasted medium to dark. This way, the acids contained are very mild, which gives the remaining flavours more room to develop.

If you want a multi-faceted espresso in your cup, the Shamal is the best choice. Because with the different Arabica varieties,  the intense fruity notes come together excellently with a range of nutty aromas.

In the cup, the Shamal shines in a beautiful hazelnut brown. Slightly floral and fruity notes flow from the cup. This fruit potpourri is rounded off by dark chocolate and caramel aromas. Thick and creamy, the Espresso Shamal flows over the tongue and causes a taste explosion on the palate.

Thanks to its outstanding quality, Caffè Di Giampaolo Shamal has been certified as Espresso Italiano by the INEI (Istituto Nazionale Espresso Italiano). The institute protects and promotes real espresso and has been doing so since 1998.
