Did you know that a British confectioner couple invented the solid chocolate? The store Fry and Sons made what they called "eating chocolate" in 1847 by combining cocoa butter, sugar and chocolate paste. This was a granular, solid form of the treat. Napoleon also loved chocolate. The French leader demanded that wine and chocolate be provided to him and his senior advisors, even during intense campaigns.
